The Upper Shoalhaven and Upper Deua Landcare Network has recently published Volume 2 of Carina Clarkes wonderful book titled ‘Wild Windellama. The book is part 2 of a 2 part series.
Volume 1 was first published by Carina in 2002.
The books contain over 100 articles written by Carina for the ‘Windellama News’ from 1997 up until Carina past away in 2004.
The most prestigious of our Landcare awards in the Upper Shoalhaven and Upper Deua is the Carina Clarke Perpetual Award for Landcare Excellence. The 2010 recipient was Di Bott who is an enthusiastic andlong serving member of Mongarlowe Landcare and the Friends of the Mongarlowe River. Di won the award for dedication and determination in service to the community and the environment - which is very much in the spirit of Carina Clarkes legacy.
These books can be purchased from us at the Southern Rivers CMA Office in Braidwood for $10 plus postage.
